About us

The IDHUS Institute is a think tank specializing in the analysis, study, and monitoring of geopolitical dynamics, geoeconomic changes, and social developments in our society.
Our main objective is to explore, understand, and anticipate the directions in which humanity is evolving, addressing crucial issues for the future of us all from an interdisciplinary, holistic, and global perspective.

Mission

We were founded with the purpose of bringing a new, global, and holistic vision to the issues that shape societal development. Driven by the desire to understand the world we live in and the ongoing transformations in the systems that govern it, we focus on analyzing the geo-economic and geopolitical shifts redefining our reality.

Our mission is to deliver insightful analysis and a global perspective to help understand the trajectories of human evolution in our core fields of study. We aim to inspire and support leaders, organizations, and communities in making informed, responsible, and forward-thinking decisions. By offering a clear and strategic view of where society is headed, we contribute to building a more inclusive, ethical, and sustainable future.

Our long-term vision is to be recognized globally as a leading authority on the understanding and anticipation of social and human transformations driven by geopolitical and geo-economic change. We strive to help create a more conscious, adaptable, and resilient global society.

Areas of Focus

Geo-economic systems and dynamics, evolution of financial structures and the international monetary system

In this area, we analyze the evolution of global economic dynamics, focusing on the transformation of international financial structures, capital flows, the role of multilateral institutions, and the reorganization of the global monetary system. We examine the emergence of new economic architectures and study the impact of financial technologies, sovereign digital currencies, and shifts in global value chains on the balance of geo-economic power.

Geopolitics, global change, and international power structures

We explore the major transformations shaping the international order, examining geopolitical tensions, the redistribution of global power, and the rise of new state and non-state actors. Our work analyzes the strategic maneuvers of leading powers, systemic conflicts, realignments of alliances, and the influence of technological and climate disruptions on global governance.

Demography, population, and social change

We study population dynamics at global and regional levels, with a focus on aging trends, migration, urbanization, and labor force transformations. We observe how these demographic shifts are reshaping social, economic, and political structures, and we explore their implications for welfare systems, collective identities, education, social cohesion, and development expectations.

Natural resources, critical minerals, and the impact on the ecosystem

We investigate the availability, distribution, and governance of strategic natural resources, with a special focus on critical minerals essential for the energy and technological transition. Our research examines the environmental impact of resource extraction, ecosystem resilience, and geopolitical balances, while addressing the tensions between development, energy security, and ecological sustainability in a context of growing global competition.
