This four-hour seminar will introduce us to the role that new generation technologies are playing in the changes that our cities are experiencing. Innovations such as the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain networks, 5G mobile communications, big data analytics, etc., are transforming our cities into Smart Cities, and we will examine how all this entails a major transformation in the way we will live, work and communicate in the future.

Social impact of new technologies: can the rapid advancement of technologies may leave some of the population behind?

This seminar addresses the social and cultural impact that new technologies have on the population and addresses the challenges that occur when society goes at different paces in the adoption of disruptive innovations that change our living and working habits.
